Our Founders

  • Founder & President/CEO

Dorothy Baker is the proud co-owner of Kangaroo Kleaning Service, LLC. of Bossier City, LA, and the founder of Hope for Good. Dorothy worked as a building services professional, followed by an administrative human resources professional in the healthcare industry for over thirty years. Dorothy attended Bossier Parish Community College, majoring in Business Administration. Mrs. Baker is a proud wife and mother to two adult children and the proud grandmother, aka “Nina” of four grandchildren.

Hope for Good was formally organized as a non-profit organization in January 2023. Before formal inception, when hearing of a person recovering from an illness or needing financial support, Mrs. Baker and her husband, Pastor Michael Baker, would either self-fund or fundraise within the community to provide an unexpected blessing to recipients across the region. The gracious gifts began to expand as donors contributed, and the news spread about the incredible blessings being bestowed upon families across Northwest Louisiana.
